Boonton Town is located just to the north of Route 80 with Route 287 running right through the town. Located about 25 miles west of New York City, Boonton has it's own train station as well as other transportation options to Manhattan.
Boonton's downtown Main Street has a great vibe and is truly a small town gem with lots of small shops, art galleries, tattoo parlors and eateries.
Boonton Park is one of the prettiest and most desirable neighborhoods in the area with very mature trees and charming homes including many older craftsman style homes.
The Rockaway River runs right through Grace Lord Park and offers picturesque waterfalls as well as historic stone ruins along the hiking trail. Be careful if you decide to get adventurous and climb some rocks to get a better view, there are some steep cliffs and rapids that can sweep you away in some sections.
Don't mistake Boonton for Boonton Township, although they are adjacent to one another, they are 2 separate towns, with different school systems and amenities. Both great towns, but each have their own distinguishing features. Downtown Boonton serves as the downtown for both towns.
Overall Boonton is a great town with a great vibe, affordable homes and offering a great commuter location.
